This must be the place (Naive Melody) remains one of those songs that I will always stop and listen to. It makes me think of prep school, of college, of the summer time, of ski weekends, of vacations, of basically everything. It remains one of those songs that puts me in a good mood, and no matter the party, can be played.

Santogold - I’m A Lady
True story: I bought a four pack of tickets to a santigold show at the house of blues in Boston and brought three friends. Two of whom ran off to find their friends when we got there. Later in the night one of these two put his cigg out on me because I didnt buy him a beer when he had run off, but had bought one for my friend who stayed with me. needless to say I use the term friend loosely. But all was not lost, Amanda Blank was the opening act, and I chatted with some of her friends. When she came out to hang, I surprised her by having vast knowledge of her covers of LL Cool J and, more significantly for me, Romeo Void. My favorite part of the conversation was when she asked her friends where I came from. I was wearing navy blue limited edition high top adidas sneakers, nantucket red shorts, blue shirt, white shawl cable cardigan. The top was all wasp but the sneakers were ill. ‘Who is this guy, he looks like he rolled off nantucket in a wagon with hydraulics’ my response was simple, ‘Close! I just got off the Vineyard, and I drive a jeep’
